First Congregational Church ("The Stone Church") in Raynham will celebrate the dedication of its new instrument, an Allen G220i digital organ, with a recital demonstrating its many sounds and features. Organist Robert Potterton III performs a wide-ranging program of music on a new two-manual instrument in the Chapel at St. Joseph's Residence, run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. Selections by J.S. Bach, Karg-Elert, Langlais, Phillips, and Sullivan will demonstrate the organ's capabilities.

DEDICATION RECITAL (Raynham, MA)

First Congregational Church (“The Stone Church”) in Raynham will celebrate the dedication of its new instrument, an Allen G220i digital organ, with a recital demonstrating its many sounds and features. A reception will follow.

Roger Mansen is a life-long church musician and music educator. For twenty-five years, Roger worked as a music educator in the secondary and collegiate levels, and is widely known for his work as a Choral Conductor and Director of Musical Theatre.  In 1998 President William Clinton named Roger as a Presidential Scholar Teacher.  Roger has performed as a baritone soloist for Oratorio as well as with the Longwood Opera Company.  While serving as the Director of Music/Organist for Christ Episcopal Church in Needham, MA for nearly twenty years, Roger founded the Christ Church Concert Series and the Longwood Opera Summer Concert Series.  As an organ consultant and recitalist throughout the New England region, Roger has helped to encourage, educate, and excite parishioners and organists alike with quality digital and pipe organs.  He is a member of the American Guild of Organists and the Association of Anglican Musicians.  Roger holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the Boston Conservatory where he studied Choral Conducting with Mr. Alan Lannom and Dr. William Seymour, and Organ with Mr. Dowell McNeil and Dr. Philip Steinhaus at the Church of the Advent, Boston.  Roger currently serves as the Director of Liturgy and Music for the St Agnes Parish in Arlington, MA.
